The West Tamar Council municipality includes the western side of the Kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary with some of the most beautiful scenery, world class vineyards and an abundance of historic attractions. Your role in Building Community
As our Community Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Council's community services portfolio. This is an opportunity to lead with passion and purpose, ensuring that our programs, services, and facilities are not only well-planned but also responsive to the evolving needs of our residents. You will collaborate closely with the leadership team to align community outcomes with our strategic goals.
Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of areas, including community development, social wellbeing, culture, heritage, economic development, and tourism. You will spearhead initiatives that enhance community capacity, promote inclusivity, and advocate for essential services and infrastructure.

- A degree or diploma in Business, Economics, Tourism, Marketing, or Public Relations is essential.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to handle complex programs effectively.
- Excellent communication and engagement abilities, with a focus on building strong relationships.
- A deep understanding of community dynamics and the factors that contribute to social wellbeing.
