About the Job

Working with the Director, Community Assets - the Manager Asset Operations plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the management of the Council’s Asset Management framework. The position will provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to other team members within the Community Assets department, and more broadly throughout the organisation to promote asset management best practice, and align asset management practices with agreed service levels.

This role will lead a team responsible for developing and delivering Asset Management Plans with a renewal value of over $516 million in assets and 476km of road!

About you

It’s important to us that you are the right fit to join our team, but just as important, that West Tamar Council is the right place for you. You will have experience in an asset management leadership role.  Qualifications in Asset Management, Engineering or relevant field will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience being an engaged leader, with experience coaching and developing individuals within the team.

  • Asset Management experience and comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure and asset management processes, procedures and practices.

  • Extensive financial asset management knowledge.
