People and Culture Officer (Fixed Term)

To assist with leave coverage, the People, Culture and Safety team require a relief People and Culture officer to assist in undertaking daily human resources administrative support.

 

The Role: 

As our People and Culture Officer, you will be providing administrative and transactional support by coordinating HR and training initiatives, liaising with staff, and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Using Council’s online recruitment system, Scout (training provided)
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Keep employee records up to date and confidential in the HR system
  • Manage training bookings, reporting, and staff queries
  • Create clear, timely reports for the Director as required
  • Help build a positive workplace culture and boost engagement
  • Share people and culture information with staff and managers

Fixed term contract: 

Handover will commence from Friday, 3rd October 2025 with the duration of the contract running from Monday, 6th October to Friday, 17th October 2025 inclusive.
