Your role as Project Management Officer
Our Project Management Officer plays a crucial role within the Community Assets Directorate, responsible for managing a variety of capital works projects, including building, roads, drainage, and recreational assets. This position requires a proactive individual who can apply project management skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
In this role, you will engage with team members and the community to facilitate the preparation and delivery of the Council’s capital works program, managing operational tasks and responding to customer service requests with expertise in engineering and asset management.
What you will do:
- Oversee capital projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and community expectations.
- Assess risks and requirements for projects to optimise contractual conditions.
- Manage all project phases from planning to completion, ensuring timely execution.
- Respond to customer service enquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in project management and engineering principles, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. You should be able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate a commitment to quality customer service.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in project management with a proven ability to prepare project plans and manage procurement processes.
- Relevant qualifications in project management or experience in an engineering or construction environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document and convey complex ideas effectively.
