Your role as Community Officer

As our Community Officer at West Tamar Council, you will play a pivotal role in the administrative and operational heartbeat of the Windsor Community Precinct. You will be the friendly face that greets visitors and the organisational wizard behind the scenes, managing bookings and supporting program delivery for our Community Services Department. Your work will foster a welcoming environment where community members can come together for health, wellbeing, and celebration.

In this part-time position, you will balance the dynamic demands of customer service, administrative tasks, and community engagement. With your resilience and adaptability, you will navigate challenges and ensure the precinct is a vibrant hub for all.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a passionate individual who thrives in a bustling environment and is dedicated to serving the community. If you are known for your exceptional customer service skills and your ability to manage multiple priorities, we want to hear from you! 

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a knack for building positive relationships.
  • Strong organisational abilities, with a talent for multitasking and prioritising effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and inform.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at managing various computerised systems.
  • Possess a current Tasmanian Driver's License (C Class) and Working with Vulnerable People Card.
