Your Role in shaping Culture
As our People and Culture Officer, you will be an essential part of our People, Culture & Safety Directorate, working across all council locations. Your mission will encompass supporting the vital objectives of our Business Plan, while undertaking diverse responsibilities in Human Resources, Recruitment, Learning and Development, and Wellbeing. You will be the bridge connecting our staff to leadership, ensuring a seamless flow of information and support.
Every day this role will offer new challenges and opportunities. You will manage recruitment processes, maintain HRIS records with the utmost confidentiality, and play a key role in the development of our organisational culture. Your insights will contribute to engagement strategies that resonate with our employees, fostering a workplace that thrives on collaboration and respect.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is ready to make a difference in our community. If you have a passion for people and culture and meet the following criteria, we want to hear from you!
- Possess a Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources Management or a willingness to obtain one.
- Have at least six months of experience in an HR Officer or similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (e.g., Synergy; Scout Talent).
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
