Your role as a Team Leader - Engineering & Assets

Our Team Leader - Engineering & Assets is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and coordination of the Council's Engineering and Assets team. This role is pivotal in delivering operational and strategic advice to the Director of Community Assets, the Council, and the CEO. The successful candidate will guide the team to achieve Council goals, develop forward work plans, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

Your expertise will play a critical role in project scoping for community asset needs, development engineering support, and stormwater management plans. Additionally, you will support the Community Assets team with technical input, review engineering standards and policies, and lead capital works projects.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated professional with a strong background in civil engineering and asset management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Over 10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven expertise in project management and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of fostering collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders. You will demonstrate accountability and have a track record of delivering results while navigating complex technical challenges.
